I"m 70, and started grade school in the 1940"s, we always had lots of home work, right through High School, and YES, lots in grade School ! Of course...we had no cell phone, or I-Pads, or whatever they call such devices, No TV until I was a teen ager, and it only got 1 channel, in black and white. There was nothing to do BUT homework, or listen to the radio. Since my Mom liked Classical music, on the radio, that"s all I grew up with, except, sometimes the Lone Ranger. Today"s kids are spoiled whiners!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
