for anyone a fan of prewar tractors, this was like a dozen normal shows rolled into one, with a lot of tractor models I'll probably never see again. We came home empty handed from the sale, but did pick up some interesting info for our own projects. The Heider B went for more than I expected, and more than we could scratch together though we gave it a serious try. just an amazing experience, and so many people to talk to, so many folks I know from the net now have faces, too many to name here, and I even saw a few familiar faces who its always great to see again including Justin and K.R who seemed to be having a lot of (tired) fun starting tractors. Sunday, they had 700+ seats set up, and there were more people standing around than empty chairs. The bidding on some items was absolutely cutthroat, and I think a lot of people were holding their breath to see where the plowboy would end. Coming home with an empty trailer we decided to stick around sunday to see the wheels sell, we might as well not have as I didn't even bid before they went to England to a chap who needed them way worse than we did. the last few photos in the album i posted in another thread are from 11:30 sunday night, stuck in traffic, in Chicago at night coming home after 10 hours on the road from the sale, and we just happened to be stuck behind the 9-18 case. yep, I was bored, had battery and mem card to spare and a couple even turned out somewhat well.
