Well you guys can tell me what you think of what I plan on doing with mine. I've had CDL-A with doubles and tank endorsement since 1991. Used it very little.Never had a DOT physical or card. A year ago I had 3hr surgery on cervicle spine for spinal stenylosis. Plate screws/fuse/spacers. I had allready had quite a bit of nerve dammage. Came out of surgery with left side paralized. Once swelling went down and a week in therapy to re-learn how to walk and do simple things and 2 more months in pt and now a year later , muscle signals are still mixed up some.Still can't feel much with left hand and arm is quite limited yet. Comming back but very slow. Bottom line is , mine needs renewed in Jan. and I wouldn't feel safe in any ones truck at this time. I do fine driving my own vehicles and even towing my trailers but I believe I'm just going to let the CDL go. I retired in Feb and don't need it to make a living. I don,t know if I could pass their physical anyway. The spinal cord doesn't like being pinched. If anyone finds their hands going numb, forget the carpo tunnel diagnosis, go see a neurologist and get an MRI of your neck. They misdiagnosed mine for 3 yrs.

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
