Well after a brush with frost last week,my 2013 corn silage harvest is under way. I have only one of my three sons home on the farm ith me now. And looks like he will make a career of farming. Other two boys work away, and like to chase girls and blow thier money. So , that leaves us short one man to pull wagons. So my second oldest brother, Bill, offered to come and pull some corn wagons for me. And he is a big help. Bill is 65, and a retired Police officer, and runs about 30 beef cows. So no need to train him on running a tractor. But doing corn silage is new for him, When I look at the pictures from this year, it looks almost the same as every other year, just a lot nicer , sunny and warm.
