I'd say a quarter inch hole screen will seriously limit your capacity in corn or any grain. You would be surprised just how well those mills break up grain even with a big hole screen. I run the biggest screen I have in my old IH hammer mill and it does a fine job of grinding oats for cattle feed. My screen is actually the "roughage" screen with big square holes in it. I can't comment on grinding corn though. Have a look at the mill working and see the finished product in my video..
