I remembered something else this morning about that controller. It used to be that when I turned that knob,it made a difference as to where the light came on when you moved the lever from right to left. Made the same difference whether you pulled the lever by hand or used the brake pedal. It doesn't anymore. Now it has to go all the way to the left before the light comes on either way.
A neighbor stopped in this afternoon. He had a gas station/repair shop here in town for a lot of years, worked the last 25 years or so as head mechanic for a large farm, retired a couple of years ago. He still works for them when they're chopping. He said he thinks it's in the controller since that lever has to come all the way over like that.He said though that he thinks there are a couple of those wet line controllers in the parts room of the shop at the farm. Said he'd stop in and check when he gets a chance. So before I buy a new one I'll wait a few days and see if he gets one of those and see if we can make one work.
If not,I guess I'll go with the Tekonsha and see if that helps.
