JD made a drawbar extension for use with swathers and balers of the day....1970's give or take. It's purpose was to set up the U joints on the front of the shaft so that in a turn they would be at a 45 degree angle and reduce vibrations and allow sharp turns.
I bought my last one from a local used tractor dealer. He had an accumulation of things of the sort that he obtained over the years.
It had a pin in it to match the hole in the drawbars of the implements described, but you could knock it out and have your pin hole.
