DJ I have one of these myself after much listening of advice including a ford dealers mechanics I converted mine to a 5 speed. Ford dealer did have parts available to repair mine they thought on hand. Labor costs and lack of confidance in lasting repairs/ and other potential hidden costs prompted my action. Good Luck !
