I got a Maytag Centennial top load washer and front load dryer at Lowes a little over 3 years ago and have had no problems yet. The Centennials were the low end of the line with basic controls and no gadgets or frills. The washer I bought was their floor model because they didn"t have any others in stock. I offered to buy the floor model so they gave me about a $100 discount. Then when they went to the back to get the dryer, they only had one, and the box was damaged. We broke down the box to see if there was any dryer damage and there was a slight dent and scratch. They apologized and gave me another $100 off the dryer. I really got a good deal at Lowes and have been shopping there instead of Home Depot since.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
