I agree hay will put water vapor into a cold box for a long long time. if the door is shut, it will decay and heat (fire hazzard or rotten hay). If the trailer is dedicated to this task, vents and raincaps are needed. Jim

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
