Ah yep that can happen , back in the good old days of the split ring wheels on semi's that was about and everyday thing More then once i had them blow while airing up on the truck . Was at a tire shop one day getting a couple tires fixed and they were mounting up some new tires for a guy and had it in the cage when it let go with about a 100 lbs. in it , let just say that you could not put a 16.9x24 in a cage built for a 10.00 22 . A buddy was airing up a new drive tire on a new rim and was setting on it while it was laying on the floor of his shop when it blew with around 80 Lbs in it . Lucky for him it just blew him off and the tire went airborne and hit the roff and knocked to panels up . HEard of a guy that was mounting up a 30.5x32 and it let go , they just found pieces and parts of him.
