Very common to have a spark problem cause a problem like you have. The first thing to always check is that you have a good blue/white spark that jumps a 1/4 inch gap or more. Next you need the check fuel flow at the carb drain and make sure you have a good steady flow for a few minutes catching it to look doe water and dirt etc. Also does choking it hurt or help??
