I really appreciate your super fast response. Looks like your rim measures real close to my measurements. I going to try to find a couple rims local.
Your JD gearing must be the same as my Ford/NH. With R-1s it came with 9.5-24 and 14.9-28, the R-4s were 11.2-20 and 16.9-24s. I couldn"t find the 20" rims anywhere. Both of the local NH dealers said they sold a ton of 3930/4630s, and can"t recall anyone wanting the R-4s.
So all that will keep the ratios good. As far as heavy tillage, I do very little if any now with that tractor. I am spending more time on peoples lawns and driveways with my tree spade on. That"s the main reason for the R-4s is to be a little easier on the lawns, plus, its getting time for tires.
