I can't comment on the diesel, but my 2000 Winnebago 35' motor home has the V-10 that has 102,000 on the clock. I know, that's not a lot of miles, but it has been a very dependable engine. It did fail me on the road one time---it was a dirty mass airflow sensor. Took a while to figure it out, but ran like a champ after the cleaning.

Currently in the shop for a spark plug change. Mileage has been 6.95 over the years. Was a little over 7 until about 80,000. Unit GCW is around 22,000 lbs. towing a Ford Ranger pickup.
