Graduated from high school in 71. Not a star athlete but better than average student. Dad had work for us to do so any thing with sports was put on the back burner. Not complaining about not being in sports. Always had a good vehicle and money in my pocket. Learnt how to do business and how to manage what I had at a very early age. All the star athletes never learnt how to work or manage, all they knew was to depend on mom and dad. Now that we are I turning 60 I look at the jocks and only one has half way excelled in the world. The rest have been mediocre at best. The ones of us who were taught to work and made to work are the movers and shakers in our community. Just my thoughts.
P.S. also the high dollar girls that were in our class who were above us common folks have been married multiple times, wrinkled so bad they look like a road map, and the majority have barely squeaked by. But on the other hand the girls who were in the class of us common folks are the ones who look good, know how to conduct themselves, and are at piece with themselves.
Don't see that athletics did much for anyone in our class. Just my thoughts-------------

I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
