Irish Gypsies are from North Augusta, SC, just across the Savannah river from Augusta, Ga. Their neighborhood used to be mostly mobile homes, but there has been a steady increase in nice homes, recognizable by having very fancy front doors. As I remember the story, they leave the house vacant for a year so the evil spirits leave, then have the house blessed by a priest. They were brought to the US from Ireland by an Irish priest, Father Murphy, I think in the early 20th century. They believe God placed other people on earth for them to live off of, or so I have heard. One of them has painted roof for me for years, paint has held up ok. Once I provided the paint fro him to do the job and his paint lasted about as well. Hid business model is to do a good job and get repeat business. The person that Bug Ruh had dealings with wanted a one time score.
