I couldn"t agree with you more. Schools in our area are having trouble maintaining accreditation, and gaining adequate funding as the sequester cuts fed education grants. The funding spent on the football program, which benefits maybe 40 or so kids is a very significant percentage of the school budget. I think the money would be better spent on the programs that have been cut, art, music, advance math etc. due to lack of funds.
