Go eat the 72 oz Steak at the Big Texan Steak Ranch restaurant East side of town, on I40. Canyon, Tx,,, 15 miles South of Amarillo. Home of West Texas A&M Uni. .... The Panhandle Plains Museum, Be prepared to spend all day there! this is a Great Visit! IMO! Pala Dura Canyon out east of Canyon, Tx Definitely not as big as Grand Canyon But equally as impressive! Realize that Adobe Walls Historical Site is in the upper parts of the Canyon, parts of the JA Ranch, The 6666s has parts of their ranches farther on east quite a ways. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
