Buying new, just get what you like.
They are all pretty much the same today.
probably most sub-assemblies made overseas.
The powers that be have finally got us where they want us.
If buying new, we keep them for the warranty period, then dump em, as repairs are hugely expensive and pretty much impossible at home.
and we have to buy what they say.
Every new truck I've bought, the fight got harder to get what I wanted.
4x4, 8 cylinder, MANUAL trans, are musts
and for me 1/2 ton, a regular cab with an 8' box.
87, 94 it was a tough find, 06 had to settle for a V6 to get a manual, traded it in 07 (too weak), and HAD to take an auto trans to get the truck I wanted. hate it.
Gonna give it to my son, and buy something OLD.
As far as GM is concerned, no 4x4 manual trans in a truck I want....period. bah
