He really thought he had me when he asked for my medical card. I told him my medical card was now linked to my new drivers license and he should be able to see it on his computer. His reply was that system is not fully up and running yet so I still needed to have the paper version in hand. OK but that is not the info the DMV gave me.
I reached in my bag and handed it to him just as he was starting to write no medical card on his pad.
I think I will still carry the paper version long after this new law goes into effect just for this reason.
You could tell this guy was brand new. The instructor had to explain to him why it was OK for me not to have a log book on local runs.
