I have a 2005 one ton Ford F350 diesel. It has 70,000 miles on it. I use it to haul with. Today it started right up and I drove it down the hill, backed up to the trailer, put it in park, and left it running while I hooked the trailer up to it. I got back in it, put it in drive, and tried to accelerate. Nothing happened when I pressed the accelerator. It did not rev up. It just sat there in idle. I put it back in park, and still it would not respond when I tried to rev the engine. I put it back in drive again and it still would only idle it would not rev up. I let it sit there for a minute or two still idling, then I turned it off. I tried to restart it and it would not restart. It turns over just fine, you can hear the fuel pump come on, the light for the glow plugs come off and on as they should, but it won"t start. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
