OK, folks I'm back again with another question, I'm fixing to change the hydraulic fluid on my Ford 850 tractor I've checked the hydraulic fluid 2 ways, tractor running and not running and it is way over full can some one tell me the proper way to check the fluid, running or not. I've looked in the service manual and owners manual and I have not found anywhere telling me how to check the fluid other than reading the dip stick and I know how to do that just not sure if it should be running or not, and for all you folks that responded about the tractor dying after it ran a little while, got it fixed, it was the battery, it wouldn't hold a charge at all and the alternator couldn't keep up with the discharge, thanks for all yawls help. Also, if anyone could put me on to a working proof meter (5 speed) I would greatly appreciate.
