My son and I just rebuilt 32 feet of our barn this year. We poured two inches of concrete on the stall floors, repoured the curbs for the tie stalls and repaired the 150 year old stone walls by building forms and pouring in concrete. We mixed our own concrete and dumped it with a wheel barrow and a pail. I mixed every chickin' pluckin' yard of the stuff. I figured I shoveled in the general neighborhood of 12,000 pounds of sand and crushed limestone. Just as soon not have to mix any more for a while!
