Thanks for your interest. The head repair shop has the head and so far they have said it needs a set of valve guides. In my opinion that still doesn't explain why # 1 cylinder was flooding with oil and the others dry. After 30minutes running, after the first attempt at repair, oil ran out of the intake port on # 1 cylinder when I removed the manifold. I have a photo. I told the shop to fix the head and check it further for cracks. I checked the guides myself and do not believe they are the problem. If the shop finds nothing else, I will install a sleeve and piston assembly before I reassemble. I will keep you posted. Garnett
