Hated the queen size Sleep Number when it had two air chambers. I found out you could order it with one large bladder and that works out much better. I like it now, had it for many years.
If I had a stairway that was not 100 years old and could fit a normal bed through it and into the bedroom, I would have bought a premium grade regular bed.
One other problem the S N has is that the foundation (box spring area) is a plastic snap together affair that is not very sturdy and if you weigh over a buck fifty it will break apart on the outer side areas. The fix is to get a 4 by 8 sheet of 3/8 inch plywood and cut it in half lengthwise and then again to the length of the bed and fit that between the frame and foundation. If the foundation breaks during the warranty period they will replace it but usually they break after that period, of course.
You can also order a S N bed that has been returned for a good discount in price. It will come with a new mattress cover.
