That's awesome that your dad is still so active. As mentioned, it is likely the best thing for him physically, and I'm sure it is mentally and emotionally. There is a fellow in his 90's near my daughters' daycare provider who still farms his 80 acres. About 12 Hereford cows, and a farmyard and fields as neat as can be. Equipment perfectly maintained. I know one of his sons has offered to help with haying etc, but dad's reply is "your still a little young for operating equipment". Son is in his 40's! He just says "ok dad, but let me know when you need a hand". I do see his car at the farm a couple of afternoons each week, and about a month ago they were doing some motor work on the 6000 Ford and the Fordson Super Major got a new coat of paint by the father/son team. Cherish the moments, they'll be memories before you know it.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
