Dad and I used to go out west hunting every year but his back can't handle the mountains any more. We always said that we should buy our own land to hunt here in TN instead of always relying on friends' property. Well, we finally did about 3 years ago. Dad grew up on a 40 acre dairy farm in central MN but moved off of it when he was 18. This is him on our old Ford 640 working up some ground for food plots.
Mom says he is 20 years younger when he's at the farm. He'll be 78 next week. He lives a few hundred miles from the farm but comes over a lot and I treasure every moment knowing it won't last forever. And I respect his occasional nap in the middle of the day. Someday I'll really want one. BTW, mom is in Hilton Head right now playing tennis 3 times a week with a tennis club and she's 76 as of yesterday!
