I had mentioned this on the John Deere board some time ago but I will mention it here as well. I recently helped a family get some tractors ready for an estate sale. The tractors had sat for a few years without running and had Stabil put in them. All had sat for at least two years. The gas in them had turned to asphalt. It literally would not run out. One tractor didn't have the Stabil placed in it and while the gas was stale it was at least still liquid. We discovered through this that Stabil is best if not used for over one winter season. I have quit using it and use chain saw oil in the gas for an engine that will sit for some time. It seems to work much better and also helps eliminate rust in carburetors as well. I have some Stabil I will end up throwing out. Mike
