I remember the RED Ted Williams hunting coat mom and dad bought me when i was 14 , my god was that thing warm , back then we had winters that set in by the first week in Nov. and stayed till late March or even into the middle of April . Back then i use to hunt everyday that we were allowed to . There were five of us that would meet and go hunting together . Yep five Kids meeting up and none of use over 15 walking down US 224 to the city limits and heading into the field . No adults and every evening we would have our take and headed home . No cops bothering us no goffy citizens calling the cops just five young teenage boys with our guns and one dog . I had a double barrel 12 Ithaca Roy had a Ithaca 20 gauge feather weigh pump . Mike had a J C Higgins 410 bolt action Bruce had a Browning mark 5 16 gauge and Steve had a Harrington and Richardson 16 signal shot . Now today there is a Plaza and Apartments where we use to hunt . Couple years ago i saw two young guys walking past the house headed out of town with there shotguns and the next thing i saw was four cop cars stopping them and checking them out . Myself i think may RED coat stood out better then the orange of today.
