Sounds like some of you think I inherited what I have. Nothing could be farther from the truth. My great grandparents settled about two miles from here. Grandpa bought this place in 1927,Dad bought it from him and I bought it from Dad. This place is only 79 acres. I've bought all the rest that I own separate of this place with mortgages through the local bank.
The lake that's partly on one on my places and across the road from another, used to be all on one farm. The old couple who lived there all their lives never kept anybody off the lake as long as they asked first. When they passed away a city slicker bought the place and immediately set out to keep everybody off of it. The guy got a bad name in a hurry and made a lot of enemies. There are three of us now who own parts of it. Two of us are old time locals, one is a citiot, but there's access to it off the road where the other local guy owns,so we let anybody on it. The citiot can't really do anything about it. You just don't stop local folks from fishing where they've fished all their lives.
I feel the same way with this land. I have to live in this community and I'm not going to be the local pr--k.
As far as having a reputation of being a hard azz,I've already got it for some reason. Cross me and I don't take it,but I'm not gonna be the one to start the trouble.

Rollins, son of the landowner, used the tractor. In the winter 1985, while in his possession the engine block cracked and was unrepairable. He had told my father
