If remote operation is needed, the Ford starter relay is very cheap and will do it(solenoid) the idea is fantastic. If operation at the winch is needed, a #4 welding quality stranded cable grounding the blade to the tractor, and a #2 cable going to the battery with a twist lock connector (Welding repair shop) a push button starter switch would be fine to control the motor from the tractor seat. Be careful to use a 8 foot or so momentary contact on the relay if used to stand on the ground and pull logs. A broken cable is deadley and happens so fast there is no escape. Stand to the side. If the cable gets a backlash, or jambs, clear it and reduce the pull by backing the tractor. Do not feed cable into the drum by hand!! I have seen it cause a bad situation. Jim
