I'm about 6'5" with knee and back problems so I know what you are going through.
What do you need out of your wife's vehicle? If it's just a grocery getter for her and you seldom ride in it spending extra money so you can get in and out may really be a waste. Is mileage a big concern? Does she drive it everyday to work? There is a lot of info that you didn't put in there. Because of my knees and back we went from a Ford LTD to a Town Car, to a Explorer to a Chevy Suburban. The last has been the best but it only gets 18 MPG. We are OK with that and are looking to replace it, it's got about 306,000 miles on it and it's about time. Going for another Suburban. We haul feed, pull wagons and implements with it plus grand kids.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
