I had a '98 with an extended cab but only 2 doors. Real PIA to get anything, folks included into the rear seat. In '05 I essentially bought the same truck, but now they provided outside access to the second seat and called it the Quad Cab. Much Much better although the rear doors were pretty narrow; not too narrow, but for passengers a bit cramped.
Then they came back out with the Crew Cab and it had very large doors; don't know the dimensions.
My Silverado doors are about the same size of one of the Ford 1500 models and width falls between the two Dodge options.
