I don't think that is a realistic price, I think a couple of people got into a bidding war. A few months ago a piece of original Waterloo Boy literature on ebay was bid to a little over $2000. Come to find out later from the seller that the winning and runner-up bidders got into a bidding war and neither was willing to pay as much as they had bid.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
