In my mind I've always considered the Lindsay area 'Eastern Ontario', simply because it's east of Lake Simcoe. That's always where I drew the line. That said, I am, and was aware that the Lindsay area was completely different than the rest of eastern Ontario. Eastern Ontario has always been divided into 3 area for me, as far a farm land goes. There's Lindsay area, which has very nice farm land when you consider how far north it is. There's the area's listed below which vary, but generally aren't that great. There's also the Carleton Place/Ottawa area, which in gereral, is a very nice area. We looked around Madoc, Belleville, Napanee, Kingston, Perth/Smiths Falls,Cobden/Renfrew, Loyalist, Peterborough, and Campbellford/Stirling. The only area that we ever considered was the Renfrew/Cobden area, because there seemed to be a bit of a farming economy in that area. Things were actually happening there. Carleton Place is also a beautiful spot, but $$$$.
One of the biggest hold backs to that area, even if it was a nice farm, is that while looking out there, we discovered that at least 1/2 the calves are shipped to Keady or Brussels. We already have to drive 1.5 hours to Brussels to buy and sell calves. Certainly wouldn't want to drive 5-6 hours. (Don't deal in Keady much, even though it's much closer)

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
