You just might be right.
Used to be before does were allowed to be hunted in Indiana, that the bucks would wait back and see what happened to them once deer season opened up. Smart guys would let the does wander out into the fields to eat, and they'd hold back in the woods a bit. All you had to do was sit back and watch the wood line because sooner or later he'd come sneaking out and hug the edge further down.
