I bought a Panasonic 42" plasma 3 years ago. Love it. Have nothing bad to say about it. Runs very cool. Excellent picture quality. Internals are made in Japan and assembled in Mexico. Don't know it that's still the case. HD is amazing. It really does make a huge difference. The TV I have is only 720P, which is fine because that's all Shaw Direct satellite offers for HD. Have never seen 1080P video, so can't comment if it's visibly better. I would only consider Panasonic or Samsung. I was never too impressed with LG. Picture and colour never seemed that great when compared to Samsung and Panasonic. Buy something a few inches smaller and a few inches thicker, and sleep easy knowing you have a quality TV that will last.
Never understood the obsession with Ultra-thin flat screens. My ultra-fat Panasonic is a whole 4" thin. Why does it need to be thinner? All you gain is a less reliable TV that has a harder time keeping itself cool and costs more.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
