RCA is not the company we use to know. They're not built for longevity anymore. Westinghouse is the only old former US name I occasionally here good things about. I have a 7 year old 32" Sony XBR (high end), a 4 year old 47" Vizio, a 3 year old 42" Insignia (used for gaming), and a 2 year old 19" Samsung (kitchen). The picture quality is in the order I listed them. None have had any problems. Right now Best Buy has a 39" Insignia on sale for $280
