Last year my little 24" finaly went. I thought "I am 61 years old and I am buying what I want!!" Went into the kitchen grabbed a tape measure out of the drawer and measured the living room wall.
BEST-BY and the biggest the wall will take is a 55". So I went for broke and bought the highest quality set possible. Samsung model 8000 LED, 1080I, 240hz, refresh rate, 3D Smart TV . Yea it took a year to pay it off with that interest free credit at $200.0 Per month but it came with the Blueray player and two 3d glasses. With HD cable or the blueray player you curl up in the corner and cry MOMMY!! AWSUME I bought the model 8000 and it was the best possible. Never ever looked back. Beautiful picture that looks like you can just walk into it. Sorry for all of the gushing but a 740 will not cut it if you go with a blueray player. now 60hz or 120hz will leave you with a picture that has a visual stutter when the action is quick. The prices have come down so far so fast and the top of the line keeps getting better and better. Don"t skimp you will not be happy. I LOVE my Samsung. It has one of the very best reviews too.
