But most folks who buy big magnums never do. As you know, it takes hundreds of rounds of practice to get to the point where you can shoot consistently under hunting conditions. Due to the recoil and cost of factory ammo, most .300 Mag buyers never even get their scopes zeroed in, let alone become proficient with their rifles.
