I always spend some time in the race book when I go to the casino. Maybe make some small bets just for fun. Used to really be into it when I was spending a lot of time in Reno. Lots to it when you are an educated bettor. But, as other have stated it seems to dying out. All I ever see at the books are old men (nothing wrong with that, I hope to make "old man" someday). We have a horse track about 30 miles away, Golden Gate Fields, and they are always advertising on the sports talk station, directed toward a younger crowd and even families. Never been, the traffic is a nightmare down there. Track is across the bay from San Francisco.
