Yes,Id say fix it.But ask yourself this.Can I replace it with another machine that I know is as good as what I have.Are you planning on keeping it ?does it do the job?The fact that you already spent several hundred says you were planning on keeping it.If the machine is otherwise good,just fix the motor and go on.I spent $2500(new engine) on a $1000 truck last year.Couldn't replace the truck with another(just as good or better) for that,so I spent the money to fix a good old truck.Becides,I dont plan on ever getting rid of it so cost is immaterial.There is more to it than just "dollars and cents".
