Sandblasting is the way to go. If the blaster is not to powerful you can blast the sheet metal without warping. One coat of red primer then the finish coat, with the Ct farm center two coats. Primer should always be blocked sanded. Depending on the the condition of tractor and amount of pitting. Use body putty to fill the rust holes. Spot and glaze takes to long to dry and is laquer based and will wrinkle up most the time. The key to painting is a good Spray gun Devilbise or Binks. The right air presure and paint flow. To avoid runs. Shot the part with enough paint that you don't have dry spray. Don't worry if it looks orange peel at first. All paints flow out and look smooth after 10 min. to a few hours. Each paint has it own charateristics.
