little bit about uncle Bills ww2 times , he was on the solomen , islands ,Guadalcanal , and even made it to new Zealand and Australia ..always spoke about the natives and their behavior and customs ,he could a been a teacher of social studies .. LOL .rarely spoke about the enemies he was fightin , other than to say when the japs threw out a daisey cutter at them , he went out afterwards and found a crikled partial FORD Oval ..he also mentioned , there were long stretches between shipments of supplies ,because they were cut off from American supply ,, all ammo and food was used sparingly... the japs too had the same problem on their island and were desperately stealin from them at nite.and eatin monkeys . LOL ... He and Dad were pals growin up enlisted in february 42,(dad was on 4island battle campaigns , starting in the marshalls , saipan , philipines and Okinawa, pop was injured 3 times ,and was in hospital on phillipines and Honolulu , I wrote His Eulogy, It is in{ Your Stories} Eulogy for Dad ) .bills future wife Rosalie was and is still a beauty ,. ( Dads sister) was married to Chet before the war, and had 2 young sons,,all the men enlisted went to war ,, but chet never came back from europe...so bill and Rosalie married and raised the boys and had 5 more ,..
