Everything JD said below most likely true. When I had the SC Case spark was everything, you need a good hot spark. Run hot plugs in it and gap them on the wide side. You might have to go back to the original mechanical points and coil. Put 89 octane in it with a strong shot of Marvel Mystery oil. This will make the burn time better and lubricate the valves. Cousin does these same things for 1967 IH 656 gasser. These tips based on good compression, a lot of old tractors were just "parked" when they were worn out.
