Years ago a lot of contractors had "A" frames on trucks. Three arms two on the side and the third telescoped , a pipe inside a pipe. Several holes for a pin gave adjustment on height Simple pulley at peak. When mounted to rear the winch mounted behind cab. One plumbing contractor had several 3/4 ton Army surplus trucks with the winch on the front and the "A" frame also. Worked great as driver could see what the load was doing. However the rear you could load a pole or pipe on back and transport down road. As an electrician we used them for everything from transporting materal to pulling wire into conduit. happy happy joe
