Greg, AGCO has not been dropping the orange parts in favor of MF parts. Yes there are not as many parts available as there have been but that's because an A-C has not been built since 1985!!!! The older they get the fewer are being used on a daily basis, the fewer that are being used the fewer parts are being sold, the fewer the parts being sold the fewer AGCO will keep on hand, no matter the color of the tractor. Its basic economics. How do I know? I work at an old A-C dealer that sells and services a lot of orange tractors. I have been here for 14 years and in that time I have seen the number of orange tractors and pre-deutz combines being used has dropped by a substantial amount. The amount of parts we keep on hand is a fraction of what we used to. If you want to blame someone for the loss of orange tractors blame Deutz, they started it and did the most damage to the line. AGCO tried to resurrect it but it was really too late and never were able to get it done. I don't like that they did what they did but I don't blame them either. Once in a while a customer jokes that they should go and buy a new green tractor. My reply is they don't build Olivers anymore!!!!
