When my old shop vac gave up the ghost I broke down and bought a new one. I haven't used it on my tractor or combine yet but it sure was handy at 4am today. I heard a loud bang that caused me to get up and check the place. Saw nothing wrong except the water pressure was very low. Opened the basement door and heard the sound of runing water. I quickly turned the water off and started checking for the leak. Well, as others have posted here before as happening to them. it was the hose connected to the washing maching. It seems that the cheap fittings had blown apart and caused the flood. My shop vac [really bought for my shop but still in the house] saved the day. My wife and I quickly vacuumed up over 20 gallons of water from the floor. As the previous poster advised, check those hoses often and relace them every year because they are made very cheap. Use the best ones you can find.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
