You made the assumption that because your tractor ran better after changing out the condenser, the condenser was the root cause of your problem. That led you to your second assumption, that your problem recurred because the new condenser failed. It's likely that both of your assumptions are wrong.
Condensers are pretty reliable, although they do fail. It is very unlikely to have a new condensor fail after a few days, so it's more likely you did something while changing out the old one that caused the tractor to temporarily start running better. Since it's difficult to change a condenser without disturbing the points, my guess is your points are bad or improperly gapped.
