Know what you mean Steve but it is hard to face the fact that we are not as young as we once where.
We have had several warm ups and then back down to single digits. So we have ice all around where the one day of warm melts the snow than then the cold freezes it back rock hard. I fell down on my back three weeks ago. That shoved one of the chunks of junk into one of the nerves along/in my back so that was making sleeping/walking/living "fun" before the cold.
As soon as the wife is back on her feet the Doctors want to go fishing for scrap metal in my back again. I guess I can send it back to China where it came from. LOL
So it looks like the spring is going to be fun and games with the Docs controlling our lives.
PS: Funny one at the Mayo clinic. They where running the wife through a MRI. She kind of freaks out back in the "tube" of the machine. So she wanted me to stay close and hold her hand. No problem. When we are done she asked me while the Doctor was around if I could "feel" the big magnet in the MRI. I told her no. HE then asked me what she was talking about. I told him of the addition hardware I am carrying around. It was his turn to freak out. It seems they do not want any metallic objects around the machine. I told him they where well padded. I have plenty of insulation around them any more. LMAO
